Nationalize The Medical Education

Posted by nimaptd on March 22, 2010 at 11:25 AM

Health Ministry of India & MCI are planning to introduce new course,BRMS/BRHC for Rural Health..

This is the retrograde move..

The new course will benefit education barons rather than rural population..

It will create more problems to the already ailing Health Care System of India..

Here we have discussed the basic pathology & treatment options available for the disease of India's Health Care System...

We hereby request to

Hon,President of India,

Hon,Prime minister of India,

Hon, Health Minister of India

& All the Hon, MP's from Rajyasabha & Loksabha

to seriously think on "Nationalization of Medical Education"...

1)Medical Education should be on the top of priority list of Govt of India,it is as important as Defense. No privatization should be allowed in Medical Education..

Privatization of medical education started in 1953,

& now every big politician owns a Medical College .

Those who cant own medical college, own BAMS or BHMS colleges..

management quota seats are literally sold

Medical Education is now a market, where those who have lot of money can get admissions

Truly worthy students are deprived from getting medical education, in this Bazar.

Those who invest money for education naturally tries to put out the invested money with interest, they are going to accept freebies & gifts fromthe Pharma companies, no matter MCI's Ketan Desai  bans it.

True Medical professional  needs Empathy, Emotions & Ethics in his heart.

Privatization of Medical Education kept all these words into dictionary

2)Upgrade all the existing BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BSMS colleges to MBBS & provide them with necessary infrastructure.

3)Existing BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BSMS practitioners should be upgraded to MBBS by offering them refreshing course in medicine & pharmacology through CME centers at Taluka/Tehsil level. The CME centers at Taluka/Tehsil level should be provided with recent advances in technology like video conferencing.

4) Government's job is to provide/ensure proper health care to it's citizens & not to promote the different pathies, hence AYUSH dept. & CCIM &CCH should be scrapped.

& Uniform scientific medical syllabus should be applied in the Nation,

Ayurveda, unani & siddha would be offered as optional subjects,as they have the Indian origin & should be considered as potential resource  for research in main stream medicine.

Thanx with Regards

Drugs can probably be a part of a holistic & complete healthcare, but pathy with only drugs that dominates healthcare and every one is behind practicing that pathy just because it has a shortcut, easy, not real, but emergency care, and mainly commercial gain and status. Drugs were introduced to healthcare by few drug companies for commercial gain thats the history of medicine. Today it is ruling the health care and the real healers have to fight for their rights, infact if drugs are to be used the first person to practice them should be Ayurvedic or homeopathy doctor who will be infact a better person to use it than a half educated allopathy doctor who knows nothing more than drugs and not even a basics of real health.

its not about promoting any Pathy, but for real good health care our nation needs AYURVEDA AND HOMEOPATHY etc. the Allopathy a sick scientific 'Drug pathy' is dominating health care so called "scientific" is a biggest fear in health care, the way to real health is there in Ayurveda Homeopathy. they are not optional, they are original, authantic, and real health care which has been suppressed by few people for huge commercial gains and nothing else.!! its a globle senario for alternative approaches by monopolised drug system...!!!

If politicians are serious, they must make our health care, tax and levy free. Medical equipment must be free of import duties. That is the correct way to bring down medical costs to affordable levels. Instead, they search for avenues to add more taxes and controls.

Integration of all systems of medicine

All systems of medicine, like Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy can be integrated in a scientific manner by making MBBS the basic medical qualification. Other systems are to be made postgraduate specialities. All teaching institutions in Ayurveda and Homeopathy must immediately be upgraded for MBBS course. This will make all systems truly scientific. If it is done, every doctor, whether practising Homeopathy, Ayurveda or Allopathy, will have a uniform basic knowledge. He will be the real basic doctor, not the one politicians and our think tanks dream about.

In a developing country like India, privatization of Medical Education is dangerous..
Medical Education is as important as Defense, so no privatization should be allowed in Medical Education Sector..
Also there is no need of different Councils & AYUSH dept. for managing Medical Education.
World Health Organization has also recommended in it's report to scientfically integrate existing pathies in India.
